Cerec One-Visit Dentistry

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration Of Esthetic Ceramics) enables porcelain ceramic material to be produced easily while you wait. A Cerec restoration can be delivered in one appointment. No more uncomfortable impression trays full of goop in your mouth. No more plastic temporaries in your mouth while you wait for laboratory work to be completed; a process which can take weeks and a series of dental appointments. Cerec means the restoration is completed in one visit, so you can get back to what matters most.

Here's How It Works

After examining the tooth and determining the course of treatment,we will prepare your tooth for restoration leaving as much healthy tooth structure as possible. Cerec then uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to create a virtual model of your tooth on the computer screen. The ceramic restoration is then designed using state-of-the-art CAD software which allows us to customize the shape and detail to exactly fit your specific clinical needs.

Mill and Place

While you wait, the virtual filling is then transferred into reality. A ceramic block is inserted into our on-site milling unit and automatically machined to exact design specifications. About 15 minutes later, your all-ceramic, colour-matched restoration is ready for placement. After polishing the restoration, it appears and feels like a natural tooth.

The restoration is then bonded into place giving your tooth its natural form,function and beauty. And you are back to whatever it is you'd rather be doing.
